Help A Young Boy With Ichthyosis
I first heard about this young man, Apollo, from my wife a couple days ago and was touched by his story and am writing this short post on behalf of Apollo and his family.
We are now planning on running a 5K in 29 days for Apollo and are seeking to raise money and help his family provide him with the most comfortable life possible.
Apollo was born on 20 April 2005 as a primee with Ichthyoso, which is a rare skin disorder characterized by dry scaling skin that be thickened or very thin. He also suffers from encopresis (lack of bowel control), Cerebral Palsy and Autism.
What physiological complications does Ichtyhosis cause?
The common physiological challenges that occur due to ichythosis are dehydration, chronic blistering, overheating, rapid-calorie loss, as well as infections.
Jesus sat down opposite the place where the offerings were put and watched the crowd putting their money into the temple treasury. Many rich people threw in large amounts. But a poor widow came and put in two very small copper coins, worth only a fraction of a penny. Calling his disciples to him, Jesus said, “I tell you the truth, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others. They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything–all she had to live on. – Mark 12:41-44
